In the year 2000 I compiled a Bibliography of Japanese Literature in Finnish Language. It lists all the translations of Japanese literature into Finnish. It has 376 entries, 78 pages and various indices according to author, genre, translator, publisher etc.
In addition to this printed publication there is a digital supplement up to the present day.
But behind these publications there is a long history that goes back to the 70´s in Tokyo, Japan. It was then that I was presented with the first bibliography by its compiler, the Finnish poet Veikko Polameri (1946–1979). After his sad and untimely death I felt the urge to continue what he had started and now the work goes on in the form of a blog.
